The Merino Inn Hotel is situated next to the N1 on route between Gauteng and Cape Town or Port Elizabeth in South Africa. We pride ourselves on our friendliness and hospitality. We always do our best to make our guests feel at home.
The Merino Inn Hotel in Colesberg is a three star hotel with six different accommodation blocks. Each block offers unique facilities and a level of luxury and price to suit all needs and preferences. All rooms are spacious and offer private and secure parking right in front of your room. Every room in the Merino Inn has a private bathroom, TV and coffee and tea making facilities.
The Merino Inn Hotel is well known for its beautiful gardens and the excellent birdlife and magnificent views over the kopjes or hills of Colesberg. The massive swimming pool is the perfect place to relax after a tiring day and is welcome if you should decide to spent a weekend.
The bar is in our famous pool room. The restaurant at Merino Inn serves quality meals. No Chef de Cuisine is available, but our excellent meals and service are the best testimony to our hardworking and dedicated staff. Most nights we offer an al la Carte menu, but during high season a buffet is available. Irrespective of the menu available, you are guaranteed to enjoy your meal.
It is no wonder that we are the most famous destination in the Colesberg region for conferences and year-end functions. In addition to our excellent meals and facilities we pride ourselves on being in touch with the modern traveller. This makes us the Northern Cape's preferred conference organiser and overnight stopover.

BOTSWANA
The Big Five Lodge offers affodable accommodation just outside the CBD in Gaborone. If you travel from Cape Town to Gaborone the Merino Inn will be the perfect overnight stop. Make your next stop Woodlands Stop over is near Francistown and continue on from there to the Chobe National Park in the North of Botswana. In the Chobe region the Senyati Safari Camp offers both camping and self-catering ( self contained ) accommodation. If you however decide to visit Ghanzi Thakadu Camp just five km from the town on a private game reserve will be your destination.
NAMIBIA
From Port Elizabeth onroute to Namibia you will spend a night in the Merino Inn before continuing your trip to Ugab Terrace Lodge which overlooks the Vingerklip rock formation near Khorixas or Mazambala Island Lodge in the Caprivi.
